My September 15, 2009 LPOD Contribution
On September 15, 2009, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Chuck Wood
had selected my "13 Moons" as the LPOD for that day. The image was composite
of 13 full disk Moon shots that I had taken over the past four years using
either a ToUcam, an Atik 2HS, or a DMK-41. 12 of the images were taken through
my trusty 34-year old Celestron 8 from my back yard in San Antonio, Texas, while
the 13th was taken with the 10-inch Meade LX-200 at Cherry Mountain Observatory
in Fredericksburg, Texas. Below is a "small" 4000-pixel preview image. The original
composite is 31,000 pixels wide.
My LPOD submition for 15 September, 2009.
