A Quiet Moment for Your Intuition

Oct 08, 2026

Sometimes the hardest part of connecting with your intuition isn't receiving guidance. It's finding a quiet enough moment to recognise what you're being shown.

Our minds can become so busy with thoughts, worries, plans and responsibilities that we overlook the quieter messages coming through.

But your intuition doesn't need to compete for your attention. Sometimes all you need is a little space to listen.

Making room for Divine guidance

I believe intuition is one of the most beautiful gifts we're given. It's a connection that allows us to receive guidance, support and insight as we move through life.

And while some intuitive experiences can be quite powerful, others are wonderfully ordinary. You might suddenly understand something that has been confusing you, think of someone just before they contact you, or feel drawn towards an opportunity you hadn't previously considered.

Not every message has to arrive with fireworks!

Three things worth paying attention to

As you become more familiar with your intuition, you might begin to notice:

  • A repeating thought: An idea that gently returns to your awareness.

  • An unexpected insight: Suddenly seeing a situation from a completely different perspective.

  • A feeling of clarity: A sense that something makes more sense, even if you don't have every answer yet.

Of course, these experiences aren't automatically proof of Divine guidance. But they can be useful things to explore as you develop your spiritual connection.

A little exercise to try

You don't need an elaborate ritual to begin working with your intuition. Sometimes the simplest exercises can be the most helpful.

Take a moment to connect

Try this short practice whenever you'd like to become more aware of your own guidance.

  1. Find somewhere comfortable where you won't be interrupted for a few minutes.

  2. Close your eyes and take three gentle breaths, allowing your mind and body to settle.

  3. Ask God, your angels or your intuition to help you receive some guidance about a situation in your life.

  4. Sit quietly for a moment and notice any thoughts, feelings or impressions that come through.

What should you notice?

You might receive a clear thought, a mental picture, a feeling or simply a new perspective on something you've been considering.

Try not to analyse everything immediately. Give yourself a moment to experience what comes through before deciding what it might mean.

And if nothing happens?

That's perfectly fine too! You haven't failed the exercise. Sometimes it takes a little practice to become comfortable sitting quietly and listening. You can always return to it another day.

Your intuition doesn't always need to give you the whole answer. Sometimes a little guidance is enough to help you recognise your next step.

Bringing your intuition into everyday life

The more you practise connecting with your intuition, the more familiar these experiences may become.

You can also pay attention to those little moments throughout your ordinary day. Sometimes we're so busy looking for a big spiritual experience that we overlook the guidance appearing in much simpler ways.

And remember, you don't have to act on every thought or feeling immediately. You can take your time, consider what you've received and use your own judgement.
